I completed my bachelor’s degree in biotechnology in 2016. As an undergraduate, I worked on a project involving phytochemical screening of leaf extract of Hibiscus cannabinus and its antimicrobial activity. Thereafter, I completed my post-graduation from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology and worked on an ICMR-funded project entitled ‘Development of a biosensor for the detection of blood electrolytes in serum’ under Prof. Rohit Srivastava at IIT Bombay. After completing M. Tech. in Biotechnology, I worked in the Nanobios lab, IITB as a Senior Research Fellow and handled multiple projects in the domain of biosensing. Currently I am enrolled as a Ph.D. student in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi since 2020. My research interests include detection of various biomarkers in biological samples to develop point-of-care diagnostic tools. Currently I am working on the detection of early-stage cancer and virus like particles in a POC format.
